Mas Musica

Plato was not only a philosopher and writer, but he also founded the first university, the Academy in Athens. There Plato would introduce problems to members and they would solve them (or at least try to).

Musica

"Music is so naturally united with us that we cannot be free from it even if we so desired."
--Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius

Boethius classified music in three ways:

1. Musica mundana: music of the spheres (world)
2. Musica humana: harmony of body and spirit
3. Musica instrumentalis: instrumental music, the human voice

Boethius was recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church.
